Our coffee company was founded in 1832 and is the oldest family-run roastery in the world. We now have the 6th family generation operation our roasting machines and running our business. Of course we are a bit proud of this and the long history is a very important part of our identity.

But above all we are also a modern and progressive roastery with a preference for modern coffees, a great interest in the latest findings and processes and a strong need for new impulses and ideas.

And so the old always meets the new. On the one hand, coffee knowledge is passed on from generation to generation. On the other hand, we always question ourselves and constantly follow the desire to improve our coffee. All aspects of our work may and must be questioned again and again and checked for meaningfulness. Only in this way is it possible for us not only to maintain our extraordinarily high level, but also to continue to raise it.
