Colombia Pitalito Station
This coffee from the Pitalito Station in Colombia shows that a delicious, sustainable and fairly traded coffee does not necessarily have to cost €40 per kilo. After using Pitalito in the Goodfoot and Volta for a long time, we have now decided to offer it as a medium roasted filter coffee. We roast it a little darker than our other microlots and the acidity is also a little more subdued. The taste profile is classic Colombian with lots of sweetness and a very nice balance.

The Pitalito station in the south of Huila is a central point for a large network of small farmers who receive feedback on their coffee and their practices. This is done in person during visits to the station, but also during workshops and farm visits outside of the season by The Coffee Quest staff. They offer tailored advice on quality improvements, organic cultivation and environmentally friendly processing.
For the best taste, we recommend letting the coffee rest for 7 days after roasting and then consuming it within 5 weeks. If you order the coffee ground, you should consume it even more quickly, as the aroma will be lost much more quickly.
